New Insights on Health Insurance & Health Care Financing: HIP co-organises Prince Claus Chair Symposium

On 5 July 2013 policymakers, practitioners and academics gathered at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague to share academic insights, expertise and best practices in the field of alternative financing and health care in developing countries. The symposium is a joint initiative of the Netherlands Health Insurance Platform for the Poor (HIP) and Partos, made possible thanks to the Prince Claus Chair in Development and Equity and ISS. As Chair of the Prince Claus Curatorium  H.R.H. Ecorys hands over HIP presidency to KIT

After more than 2 years of HIP presidency by Ecorys (Arthur ten Have) the chair has been handed over to the Royal Tropical Insitute (KIT) in October 2013. Jurrien Toonen is the new chairman supported by Judith Mathijssen. In the upcoming two years HIP will expand its both nationally and internationally and seek for new opportunities to share and contribute to knowledge on health insurance arrangements in low and middle income countries.
